Free to good home.

UPDATE: Trixie has now found a home! Thank you to everyone for your help and suggestions! I know I am going to miss her.

I work at a boarding kennel in Victoria, about 40 minutes drive out of Melbourne. Occasionally we get dogs left behind when the owners are unable to pick them up for one reason or another. This girl has been with us since about June waiting for a home:

Her name is Trixie and she is a 3 year old desexed Labrador cross. She is friendly and very intelligent, however she does require some training. She is unfortunately not sociable with other dogs, so she would need a home with no other pets. Not sure about cats and other animals, but I would be cautious. Normally, I wouldn't advertise a dog like this on livejournal, however I really want to find Trixie a home. She is becoming more and more lonely everyday, and spends most of her time howling :(
She gets so excited whenever a person comes into her run, it makes you wish you could stay with her all day.

Trixie was left at the kennel along with two other dogs while her owners were building a new home. During this time, the couple also had their first child. All three dogs were picked up after the birth, however the stress of a new baby and three dogs proved too much for their owners and the dogs were brought back within a matter of days.

If you or anyone you know might be able to help find Trixie a home, please comment here or send me a pm. Thanks guys!
